Trump thanks outgoing chief of staff for ‘service and dedication’

U.S. President Donald Trump said in a tweet on Friday he has named Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly as White House chief of staff, replacing Reince Priebus.
Trump announced the move in a tweet a day after his new communications director, Anthony Scaramucci, accused Priebus of leaking information to reporters in a profanity-laced tirade.
“I am pleased to inform you that I have just named General/Secretary John F Kelly as White House Chief of Staff. He is a Great American….,” Trump said on Twitter.

The president said Kelly has done a “spectacular job” in his role with Homeland Security. “He has been a true star of my administration.”
Trump also thanked Priebus for his “service and dedication.”
“We accomplished a lot together and I am proud of him!”
