Uber has significant growth opportunities in the future, even in more developed markets, the CEO of SoftBank Investment Advisers told CNBC Monday, backing its plan for an initial public offering by 2019.

SoftBank Investment Advisers is a global advisory that works closely with the wider SoftBank Group, which itself completed a deal earlier this year with Uber, meaning the Japanese firm is now the largest stakeholder in the ride-services company.

Rajeev Misra, the CEO of SoftBank Investment Advisers, said he was happy with Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi.
