Cleveland Federal Reserve President Loretta Mester is “comfortable” with higher interest rates in the U.S., adding that the policy meeting in March will see fresh economic forecasts for consideration.
Speaking on CNBC’s Squawk Box on Wednesday in Singapore, she said that the job and inflation data supported higher rates, but noted that the Fed would await the details on economic policies by the new Trump administration before considering the possible impact on monetary policy.
