Police in London, U.K., are reporting that a vehicle collided with pedestrians in the northern part of the city.
The Metropolitan Police say a collision happened at about 12:20 a.m. local time and “casualties being worked on at the scene.”
They are calling the collision a “major incident.”
One person has been arrested.
Officials haven’t released how many people were injured, but witnesses have told U.K. media outlets that between three and 10 people were injured.
A Reuters witness saw at least one person being loaded into an ambulance.
A503 Seven Sisters Rd is closed N/B at Hornsey Rd & S/B at Rock St due to a police incident. The road will be closed for some time.
“We have sent a number of ambulance crews, advance paramedics and specialist responses teams to the scene,” a statement from London Ambulance said. “An advance trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance has also been dispatched by car.”
The collision happened on Seven Sisters Road near Finsbury Park.
The Muslim Council of Britain said a van hit worshippers as they were leaving a nearby mosque.
