Resorts World hotel in Manila is currently on lockdown following reports of gunfire from unidentified men, the company announced on Twitter on Thursday.

The hotel said it “is working closely with the Philippine National Police to ensure that all guests and employees are safe.”

Photos showing the scene around the building show visible plumes of smoke.

Earlier, CNN Philippines reported that police, fire trucks and a SWAT team were in the
area and that there had also been reports of explosions.
